About the event
Sekhmet for myself is the Lioness Lyran and powerful manifesting healing and loving Goddess. Of course she has a side that can tear up and destroy as do we all. I know that many of the Goddess stories and wisdom has been so mixed and meshed together over the years, and it is a shame that the people over the years felt the need to destroy any sign of the ones before them. Pure Ego at it's finest. We see they may have been great with precsion and math, science, and all types of unbelievable feats, yet I feel like along the way those responsible for the beauty and incredible work left, and those who were left to their own devices. i.e. the humans were basically mimicing but not embodying the roles of those who established and laid out such feats to begin with.
It can be seen in the pyramids themselves over time the sha[es. and craftsmanship declines. The ego pursuits increased. The difficult and dry barron results kind of leave us with a very different depiction of the oasis that once was. I remember a Soul retrieval vision I had in 2015 during my frirst session of the kind. I was laying on a reiki table being guided back and I popped in to Ancient Egypt. A big marble pillar was beside me and the long silky curtains were blowing in the wind. I looked down beside me and I recognized my Monah man, who in this life is a dog, but then was a Lion. He still has the look of a egyptian lion with his eye liner and pride. He very much has a huge lion personality in a tiny body.
After the Egyptian memory I wound up inside of the core of Alcyone, the star as elements, neutrons, and particles of the makeup we find within stars, and the universe. I will always remember that experience as it just helped to make sense of a lot of things that led to then, and synchronicity which has continued.
I know there is so much for me to do and I feel like the last few weeks I have been reminded as well as shown parts of the works from others that helps to understand the timelines and experiences, blocks, setbacks, and chaos I feel or have felt while the last year was playing out.
This is very much a sacred journey of healing and remembering for myself and it will not always be perfect, easy, or pretty. I have been downloading into my energy and mind intense activations, and so so so much wants to come through me. I have to pace myself and trust that those meant to be there will be, and those who understand do, and the rest is out of my hands. I know that my connection is unique and divine and I am simply following the trails of whispers and nuances that show me how to go. I get tested, and I fail sometimes, but usually they are learned integrated and disseminated to others as hey watch out.
8/22/22 I am feeling that the manifesting of our innate inner aspects our lover and fighter, feminine and masculine, wounded and healed, hate and love, light and dark, is all being elevated accelerated, and amplified to push us deeper into who we are at our core. No more settling or playing small. No more giving when we need to receive, and no more guilt for being who we are and were meant to be.
Call on Sekhmet with me to intend and transform the areas of your life that perhaps you have allowed pride or ego to destroy or harm in some way. This is not always through arrogance it can be through our own betrayel and sabotage. We can deny our light and turn away our needs, as we allow painful people to stay too long or continue the same events time and time again.
Maybe you have been believing the false things that are shaping the world around you to reflect the very experiences you do not want. You could believe that the persons you love are better off with another, or that there are others better than you in some way. You may doubt your own intuition and truths, and deny abundance by focusing on lack and fears. The more we surrender and align into the mind of I am beauty I am power I am abundant and I am worthy the more we allow the world to bless us in so many ways.
The people who do not recognize the value we innately cary in some cases they are toxic and no good, which in that case you know that cutting out and off for good will be the only way to rise away. Others may simply be mirroring the false ideas you have about your worth and value. They may want o love and be good to you and treat you in ways that they can not until you do so on your own.
I plan to connect with Sekhmet with a couple of oracle cards, there is not as many for her as some others, and then do a ritual to ask her to assist in aligning witht the belief and energy necessary for us to move on and upward in ascending though the experience as a DF and sacred soul who is powerful and magnetic.

Myths: "the Story of Re"
Sekhmet, also spelled Sakhmet, in Egyptian religion, a goddess of war and the destroyer of the enemies of the sun god Re. Sekhmet was associated both with disease and with healing and medicine. Like other fierce goddesses in the Egyptian pantheon, she was called the “Eye of Re.”
Sekhmet was considered the wife of the god Ptah and mother of his son Nefertum. She was also said to be the mother of a lion god, Maahes. She was considered to be the sister of the cat goddess Bastet. Sekhmet the lioness-headed goddess of war and destruction. She was created by the fire of Re's eye. Recreated her as a weapon of vengeance to destroy men for their wicked ways and disobedience to him
She was the companion of the god Ptah and was worshiped principally at Memphis. She was usually depicted as a lioness or as a woman with the head of a lioness, on which was placed the solar disk and the uraeus serpent. Sekhmet was sometimes identified with other Egyptian goddesses, such as Hathor, Bastet, and Mut.
Sekhmet was the daughter of the sun god, Ra, and was among the more important of the goddesses who acted as the vengeful manifestation of Ra's power, the Eye of Ra. Sekhmet was said to breathe fire, and the hot winds of the desert were likened to her breath. She was also believed to cause plagues(which were called as her servants or messengers) although she was also called upon to ward off disease.
In a myth about the end of Ra's rule on the earth, Ra sends the goddess Hathor, in the form of Sekhmet, to destroy mortals who conspired against him. In the myth, Sekhmet's blood-lust was not quenched at the end of battle that led to her destroying almost all of humanity. To stop her Ra poured out beer dyed with red ochre or hematite so that it resembled blood. Mistaking the beer for blood, she became so drunk that she gave up the slaughter and returned peacefully to Ra. The same myth was also described in the prognosis texts of the Calendar of Lucky and Unlucky Days of papyrus Cairo 86637.
In other versions of this story, Sekhmet grew angered at the deception and left Egypt, diminishing the power of the sun. This threatened the power and security of the world—thus, she was persuaded by the god Thoth to return and restore the sun to its full glory.
Having once unleashed her powers for the destruction of mankind, the Egyptians feared a repeat performance by Sekhmet. The Egyptian people developed an elaborate ritual in hopes she could be appeased. This ritual revolved around more than 700 statues of the goddess (such as the one to the left). The ancient Egyptian priests were required to perform a ritual before a different one of these statues each morning and each afternoon of every single day of every single year. Only by the strictest adherence to this never-ending ritual could the ancient Egyptians be assured of their ability to placate Sekhmet.
She is generally portrayed as a woman with the head of a lioness surmounted by the solar disk and the uraeus. The name "Sekhmet" comes from the root sekhem which means "to be strong, mighty, violent".
She was identified with the goddess Bastet, and they were called the Goddesses of the West (Sekhmet) and the East (Bastet). Both were shown with the heads of lionesses although Bastet was said to wear green, while Sekhmet wore red.
Worship
The golden cultic object called an aegis is devoted to Sekhmet, highlighting her solar attributes.
During an annual festival held at the beginning of the year, a festival of intoxication, the Egyptians danced and played music to soothe the wildness of the goddess and drank great quantities of wine ritually to imitate the extreme drunkenness that stopped the wrath of the goddess—when she almost destroyed humanity. This may relate to averting excessive flooding during the inundation at the beginning of each year as well, when the Nile ran blood-red with the silt from up-stream.
In 2006, Betsy Bryan, an archaeologist with Johns Hopkins University excavating at the temple of Mut in Luxor (Thebes) presented her findings about the festival that included illustrations of the priestesses being served to excess and its adverse effects on them being ministered to by temple attendants.
Participation in the festival was great, including by the priestesses and the population. Historical records of tens of thousands attending the festival exist.
These findings were made in the temple of Mut because when Thebes rose to greater prominence Mut absorbed some characteristics of Sekhmet. These temple excavations at Luxor discovered a "porch of drunkenness" built onto the temple by the Pharaoh Hatshepsut during the height of her twenty-year reign.
During the Greek dominance in Egypt, note was made of a temple for Maahes that was an auxiliary facility to a large temple to Sekhmet at Taremu in the Delta region, a city which the Greeks called Leontopolis.
**This is something with some full circle synchronicity I felt would share to any who are intrigued to read the information here. I actually have a lot of things to share in connection to all of the wisdom and goddess info that started a year ago and was essentially to start with Venus, Aphrodite, and #13. I have Lillith who has been present and helping me to piece together more pieces of healing and ecxploring and I do plan to share with others the fullness of thing. I am just also experiencing and collecting them as we progress too.
Sopdet (Sothis, Sopdu, Sept)
Symbols: star
Cult Center: Qesem
Sirius (the Dog-Star) was the most important star to ancient Egyptian astronomers because it reappeared in Egypt each year just as the annual Nile flooding began. Sopdet was the goddess of this star. The Greeks called her "Sothis." The "Sothis Rising '' coincided with the actual solar year only once every 1460 years. This astronomical event occurred during the reign of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius in AD 139. He commemorated it with a special coin. The time period between Sothic risings is called the Sothic Cycle and it is one of the tools Egyptologists use to create a chronology of Egyptian history.
As early as the 1st dynasty, Sopdet was called "the bringer of the New Year and the Nile flood." She was depicted as a human woman with a star on her head. She also guides the king to the afterworld, the Field of Rushes. In a 4th century BC papyrus, The Lamentations of Isis and Nephthys, Isis calls herself Sopdet and states that she will always follow Osiris in heaven.
Sopdet was the consort of Sah (the constellation Orion) and her son was Soped. This triad parallels Osiris, Isis and Horus. Therefore, in the Pyramid Texts, the king (in his Osiris form) copulates with his sister Sopdet, who gives birth to the planet Venus.
Sopdet was occasionally shown as a male, and was associated with Horus. In this form, Sopdet was one of the gods of the four corners of the earth and of the eastern frontier. As part of this duty, Sopdet would hold one of Nut's legs steady as her body arched over the earth.
